Getting out

We have already made some fantastic friends here; truly a blessing to have such amazing support.  Being Navy on a Marine base can be a bit difficult, not to mention the whole foreign country element.

Our sponsors picked us up, had a stocked kitchen waiting in our temp quarters, and offered to take us to the beautiful island of Miyajima today (home of the floating tori gate) and a wonderful Navy fam took our crew for ramen and a concert yesterday.  Loving it so far... Hoping it gets even better when I finally adjust to the time change!
